Corpus Christi Dia de los Muertos
In its 17th year, the Dia de los Muertos Festival has grown to include 10 city blocks and has been listed as one of top Dia de los Muertos celebrations in Texas and the U.S.!
The Corpus Christi Dia de los Muertos Festival presents live entertainment on four stages: Latin-influenced rock & pop music, Mariachis, Ballet Folklorico, cultural dancers, youth performers, and regional up-and-coming bands. The event also includes the Hecho a Mano Art Expo, kids’ activities, ofrenda display, art exhibitions and demonstrations, food, drinks and more.
In addition, this event partners with neighborhood businesses offering high quality Dia de los Muertos-themed fine arts & crafts via 75 vendors. Be sure to check out the youth piñata contest (with prizes!) hosted by K Space Contemporary.
The beautiful Walk of Remembrance Ofrenda Display at the La Stanza Event Center is not to be missed! A traditional, spiritual component to the festival, altars are created by community members and youth groups. Come learn about this cultural tradition of Mexico, creating connections to the past, as we honor and celebrate those who’ve passed.
