Black History Burlesque: Tribute to Radical Risque Women

Get ready to throw, toss, hurl, fling, pitch, cast, lob, project, bowl, sling, chuck, heave, catapult, propel, aim, make.it.rain, and deliver money to the stage.
Bow down to (and tip!) reincarnations of Aida Overton Walker, Darine Stern, Josephine Baker, Eartha Kitt, and Maya Angelou in this tribute to radical, risqué women of history. This is Herstory in our skin: Dancing through stages of society, culture, and art of the late 1800s to today.
Together, let’s get educated and commemorate global accolades of true boss babes whose heels have paved ways for women and women of color today. Guests should expect: Vaudeville, Burlesque, Minstrel, poetry, music, dance, celebrity impersonation, education, history, and more. It’s all produced by Baton Rouge-bred & New Orleans-next, performer/playwright, Enchentress the Temptress, aka Che’dra Joseph.
A variety of cakes and teas included in the 90-minute show – buns and puns intended. Tips are highly encouraged, considered culture, and the social norm. Digital tipping is available.
