Tarpon Springs Epiphany – St. Nicholas Cathedral

Tarpon Springs celebrates the Epiphany with two days of glorious events and rituals. Folks come from near and far to line the shores and byways of the nearby Tarpon Springs Bayou to watch and commemorate the solemn, yet jubilant proceedings.
On Friday, January 5, the Cathedral offers the Eve of the Theophany, the Royal Hours of Theophany, Vesperal Liturgy, and then moves to the bayou for the Blessing of the Fleet.
On Saturday, January 6, the Epiphany celebration occurs across the entire day, including The Feast of the Epiphany, the Great Blessing of the Waters, the Releasing of a Dove, the Retrieving of the Cross (from the waters of the Bayou), into an afternoon Epiphany Glendi party, and evening ball.
Tarpon Springs is a true cultural treasure, and each year is kicked off with this profound coming-together of community and faith.
