The slate of dudes that make up the American presidency (yeah, sorry, only dudes so far… LOL) represents democracy itself. Some better than others, obviously, but the office is worthy of a holiday. But other than bed and mattress sales, what do we actually do to celebrate it???

The Key West Harry S. Truman Foundation in partnership with the Society of Presidential Descendants is proud to present a series of special events in celebration of Presidents’ Day Weekend. This annual event is the largest gathering of presidential descendants on Presidents’ Day in the country. Kids, grandkids, and then some, descended from our Commanders-in-Chief gather to ponder and party for the week down in Key West.
The list of events include:
• Self-guided Garden Tours
• Happy Hour at Harry’s on the grounds of the Truman Little White House
• Presidential Descendants Forum featuring Clifton Truman Daniel, Massee McKinley, Mary Jean Eisenhower, Patricia Taft, James Carter, and Ulysses Grant Dietz. Dang!
• TRU-ly Amazing Art (presidential sculpture presentation)
• Give ’Em Hell, Harry! onstage
• and the Presidents’ Day Cook-Out!
