Halloween Art & Nature Festival in St. Martin Parish
The theme of this year’s Halloween Art & Nature Festival is “Creepy Crawlers,” inspired by the 1960s activity game that let kids cast plastic insects and other ‘creepy’ organisms out of molds.
Meet special guests including:
● Elizabeth Belz (Brasstown, NC) Portable Blacksmith
● Anne Bujold (Lafayette, LA) Creating a Native Louisiana Bee Installation
● Liz Markum (Denton, TX), Casted Metal Sculptures from Arthropods
● Leslie Tharp (Gainesville, FL), Recycled Iron Sculptor
● Kristen Tordella-Williams (Auburn, Alabama) Recycled Iron Sculptor
● Chef Colt Patin & his students from Culinary Institute of BR
● And 2024 Master of Ceremonies: Renella Rose Champagne of KRVS’s “Lost in Love”
Plus, live music, chef-crafted Cajun and Creole dishes, and Trick-or-Treat. They are cram packing a lot in one day! The list of workshops, demos, and activities is kinda mind-blowing. Be sure to click through for the long list of festival features!
The place is Atelier de la Nature, a 25-five-acre nature reserve and eco-educational campus, inviting all children and families to this one-day free event to celebrate Halloween, Louisiana’s special natural surroundings, the Gulf of Mexico and planet Earth, through art, music, food, and science!
