Gueydan Duck Festival

Gueydan, Louisiana is the Duck Capital of America and Home of the World’s Largest Working Duck Call. Their hotly anticipated and totally quackers, annual Gueydan Duck Festival highlights the hunting heritage of the entire Acadiana region.

Visitors may spectate or register to participate in contests like duck and goose calling, skeet shooting, dog trials, duck dash, and decoy carving. Then there’s the great food (of course!), Junior and Senior Queen pageants, a grand parade, outdoor and indoor cooking contest, a thrilling carnival, and to top it all off, top-tier entertainment including Geno Delafose & French Rockin’ Boogie, Wayne Toups & Zydecajun, Casey Peveto Band, Bubba Hebert & Alfred Doucet, Swampland Revival, the Jo-Genes, and more.
