Gasparilla Outbound Voyage

Every year, comes the cry, “Land, ho! Set sail for Tampa!” The legendary Gasparilla sets sail in late January to plunder and maraud Hillsborough Bay. The annual Gasparilla Pirate Fest commemorates the legend of José Gaspar as his band of buccaneers sail to the City of Tampa in the only fully-rigged pirate ship in the world.

To wrap the festival, and before returning to sea, Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla boards their pirate ship Jose Gasparilla II, for a final Outbound Voyage. Join ye olde krewe and their guests – local pediatric cancer survivors – in downtown Tampa as the ship docks from one last adventurous sail around Davis and Harbor Islands.
