Bon temps, ahead, y’all! Each April, Downtown Lafayette comes alive for a 5-day cultural celebration. Festival International boasts top-notch music from around the world, gourmet food, handcrafted art, jam sessions, street performers, and so much more! People of all ages and all cultural backgrounds come from near and far to experience festival’s magic.
Lafayette, Louisiana transforms into a colorful entertainment mecca with multiple stages throughout downtown. This year’s line-up include international acts, like: La Perla (Colombia), Sue Foley (Ontario/U.S.), Balaklava Blues (Ukraine), Mokoomba (Zimbabwe), Coreyah (South Korea), Pierre Donoré (France), QWANQWA (Ethiopia), Los Cumbia Stars (Colombia), La Dame Blanche (Cuba/France), Slavic Soul Party (Balkans), Riyaaz Qawwali (India/Pakistan), Rancho Aparte (Colombia), and more. Plus, Louisianans and others artists from Gulf states like: Weary Boys (Texas), Trouble Down Teche (Louisiana), Southern MS Steel Pan Combo (Mississippi), Amazing Nuns (Louisiana), Jackie Venson (Texas), Imagination Movers (Louisiana), Corey Ledet Zydeco (Louisiana), Marcella Simien w/ Terrance Simien (U.S.), Rusty Metoyer (Louisiana), Tuba Skinny (Louisiana), Holiday Playgirls (Louisiana), and more!
As part of Festival’s mission, this event strengthens the Francophone and international communities’ ties to Lafayette. Attendees can expect to hear great French music from France, Africa, Belgium, Louisiana, and beyond.
