Y’all ready for a good time at the Cracker Cowboy Dinner and the Cracker Cowboy Day?! Saddle up and get ready for two days of cowboy feast and festivities.
Dust off your boots, grab your favorite hat, and prepare for an unforgettable evening filled with cocktails, live entertainment, and a delightful dinner under the twinkling stars. Kenzie Wheeler, from NBC’s The Voice, will grace attendees with a mesmerizing performance. Plus, local musical faves, Josh & Jacob Brown open. The evening raises funds for the musem through the sale of dinner tickets, plus VIP packages, auction items, raffle tickets, and a thrilling 50/50 drawing.
But save up your energy for the next day when you’ll be transported back in time to revel in a plethora of thrilling and enlightening activities and exhibitions.
Florida’s cracker cowboys had a truly remarkable way of herding cattle, using the sound from their trusty whips. Don’t miss this unforgettable day to learn about these whippersnappers and so much more! You’ll witness a blacksmith exhibition showcasing the artistry of metalwork, and a heading and heeling roping demonstration that will leave you in awe. Fear not, little ones, there are special treats just for you – children’s roping and a petting zoo. Plus! The first 100 children to the petting zoo will get a free cowboy/cowgirl hat (while supplies last)!
Hold onto your hats, because the excitement doesn’t stop there. Test your skills at Molly’s Hatchet, where you can try your hand at axe throwing. Of course, there’s also a selfie station for you to take photos and cow camps, music, Cowboy Poetry (very popular), and speakers ready to regale you with tales of old Florida. There will be traditional craft demonstrations that will transport you to a bygone era, mouthwatering food, samples from a local distillery, wonderful vendors and more.
