Cooterspooktacular Historic Haunt
Citrus County Historic Courthouse comes alive (?!) for Twistid Arts Initiative’s Historic Haunt, a fully immersive Cooterspooktacular experience and just one of the many attractions during the City of Inverness’ month-long Cooter Fest: Cootertober.
In addition to the creepies and scaries, the Historic Haunt will feature an interactive element in which visitors may search for items, then submit answers on the Historic Haunt website. Correct responses will be entered to win a $100 VISA gift card. For families with little ones, Ghostbusters R&D and America’s Angels will have a “Containment Area” – a nearby interactive kids zone with licensed professional child care. Perfect for parents and older kids looking to enter the Historic Haunt.
• Fri. & Sat., October 27 & 28, 6-10pm The Historic Haunt is open for spooky business! This attraction is suitable for ages 13 and up. It will contain fog, strobe lighting effects, disturbing scents, and jump scares. Guests should not enter if pregnant, sensitive to strobe lights, or have a heart condition. Enter if you dare!
• Sun., October 29, 12-4pm The Historic Haunt offers a sensory-friendly, lights-on version! The boo crew will turn on the house lights, turn off all sounds and lighting effects, and remove all the jump scares, scents, and air effects. This sensory-friendly version of the Historic Haunt is an opportunity for everyone to check out the haunt safely and comfortably.
