Yankeetown Arts, Crafts & Seafood Festival

Happy Centennial, Yankeetown Seafood Festival!
The festival takes place annually – always the weekend before Thanksgiving – in the quaint, “old Florida” town of Yankeetown located on the banks of the Lower Withlacoochee just three miles from the Gulf of Mexico. The Yankeetown Seafood Festival has been organized and run by the Inglis Yankeetown Lions Club for 41 years.
With music provided by Blackwater Restaurant and the Lions Club, the event features local talent in two locations. All net profits from the festival go to support charitable causes through the club’s 501c(3) foundation supporting local, state, national, and international projects.
Congratulations to Lilith, Sixth Grade student at Yankeetown School for her winning submission in the second annual Yankeetown Seafood Festival Poster competition this year, celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Town of Yankeetown. Lilith said that when thinking about 100 Years of Yankeetown, she first thought of fishing, and then families fishing together, and how that would look different but yet the same over 100 years.
