Scarecrow Festival at Shangri La

It’s pumpkin time! Celebrate the changing season at the annual Scarecrow Festival, featuring dozens of unique scarecrow designs, fall flowering displays, thousands of pumpkins and autumn decorations displayed throughout the gardens. See what the talented members of the community can create with repurposed and recycled materials, as well as a heap of imagination. Scarecrow exhibits are always innovative, inspiring, and kind to their world!

Mark your calendars for two special free events during the fest:

• Sip & Stroll: Oct. 17, 5-8pm
Chill afterhours experience while enjoying delectable treats during golden hour.

• 2023 Autumn Fair: Oct. 26, 10:30am-3pm
The grand finale of the Scarecrow Festival – the last day that the scarecrows are on display and Scarecrow winners announced! Hands-on activities: scavenger hunt, obstacle course, pumpkin decorating, hayride, critter investigation, Adam’s Bayou pontoon cruise, and much more!

From the funny and clever to wacky and weird, the Scarecrow Festival is not only a great way to celebrate the changing season, but a portal into the community of Orange, Texas, to see what talented members of the community can create with repurposed and recycled materials as well as a heap of imagination.
