Poarch Thanksgiving Pow Wow

It’s about time for the annual Thanksgiving Pow Wow: A 2-day homecoming celebration of rich cultural heritage with families, friends, and neighbors hosted by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
Last year was the Poarch 50th Pow Wow, and there’s plenty of fun for all for the 51st: dance contests for men and women, young and old, a 5K Turkey Trot, as well as a drum contest, and the Poarch Creek Indian Princess Contest.
Visitors may also enjoy unique crafts and goods for sale by local artisans and vendors, and festival favorite foods such as barbeque, oak-wood fire-roasted corn, buffalo burgers, ham, and fried chicken. Looking for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner? There will be turkey & dressing dishes, too!
