NOLA Juneteenth 2023
Celebrate Juneteenth the New Orleans way! Enjoy a wide variety of live performances, panelists, food vendors, and more. The Sunday kick-off event is the Juneteenth Freedom Gala, then Monday is the Main Event at the Louis Armstrong Park. Click for full NOLA Juneteenth calendar here.
Artists and panelists include: Secondline Kickoff featuring the Babydolls of New Orleans, Tonya Boyd-Cannon, Kalindah Laveaux, Watotos of Kumbuka, Maroons, Lower 9 Dolls, Earth Angels, Waterseed, Keedy Black. Plus a Couple’s Vow Exchange & Marriage Ceremony with Sunni Patterson. And emcee/host Malik Bartholomew, DJ Eye V, and DJ Ojay & Kodjo Bensa make sure everything stays poppin’.
New Orleans Juneteenth Festival is a local non profit organization. The NOLA Juneteenth Festival began June 2020 in New Orleans. After years of celebrating Juneteenth in the city, it was time to grow and truly examine the state of liberation within the Black community while simultaneously promoting unity and cooperative economics.
