You know Mardi Gras has officially kicked off when the Lake Charles Mayor (and District Attorney) cut the festive purple, gold, and green ribbon and lead the city in a fun and frolicking Second Line Parade all around the grounds of the Lake Charles Civic Center! Join the official 12th Night royalty: the reigning King, Queen, and royal court of Lords and Ladies, plus the 12th Night Krewe of Revelers, the Parade of the Krewe Flags, the Billy Rose & His Dixieland Band, and the rest of the reveling city as they open carnival season 2022. Free and family friendly!
