Improvisations Gala
This musical and sensory celebration presented by the Herb Alpert promises to be like no other. The stellar line-up includes Irma Thomas, GALACTIC featuring Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, Mahmoud Chouki, Aurora Nealand, Shake ’em Up Jazz Band, Opera Creole with Trumpet Mafia, Tim Laughlin, the Detroit Brooks Quintet, international composer, performer, conductor Łukasz L.U.C Rostkowski, Victor Atkins, the Treme Lafitte Brass Band with Big Queen Mary K Stevenson of the Wild Tchoupitoulas Indians & the N’Awlins D’Awlins Baby Dolls, along with other local favorites performing on five stages throughout the evening, plus an online auction and live jewelry drawing.
The “Evening of Variations” will be preceded by a Patron Party from 7-8 pm in the Decatur Street Courtyard featuring the Germaine Bazzle Band with Charlie Gabriel, culinary delights courtesy of Drago’s Seafood Restaurant, Galatoire’s, Acme Oyster House, and Dickie Brennan & Co. Catering & Events, passed hors d’oeuvres by Messina’s Catering & Events, and cocktails provided by Beam Suntory.
