Hummingbird Festival
The annual Hummingbird Festival in Pascagoula, Mississippi celebrates the fall migration of these tiny flyers as they travel to wintering grounds south of the Gulf of Mexico. Throughout the two-day festival, guests can tour the Rhodes Bayou property and observe various bird species. Performances, guided tours, exhibitors, crafts, games, and food trucks will be available!
Exhibits will be on site to offer information regarding conservation awareness and environmental stewardship. On Friday, the center will welcome Mississippi artist and storyteller Jerry Jenkins and raptor and large bird demonstrations from the Environmental Studies Center through the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant. On Saturday, “The Dancing Story Lady” Deborah Ferguson will join along with raptors from the Freedom Ranch in Purvis, MS. Local vendors will have locally made crafts, pottery, jellies, clothing, and other items as well.
