Human Horse Races
Horseback?! Pshaw! Think again! That’s for saddle freaks. Only in New Orleans will you find a human-powered horse race of the 2-legged variety. On Thanksgiving, no less!
Human Horse Races exists to raise money and awareness for local animal sanctuaries and shelters and promote cruelty-free experiences, all while celebrating in a classic, New Orleans-style.
Just wanna spectate? There’s plenty to see on the track, but also:
• Live music by The Dapper Dandies
• Food & Beverages for purchase
• Plus: Betting tokens!
Winners of races receive prizes, and betters get an entry for a chance to win a mega-prize!
Proceeds of this fabulous day-at-the-races benefit local animal and wildlife rescue initiatives. The 2023 beneficiary will be Greeno Equine Sanctuary, located in Leblanc, Louisiana.
