Historic Seaport Sail on Argo Navis with Cori Convertito

Set sail into a historic exploration with Key West Art & Historical Society curator and historian Dr. Cori Convertito aboard the luxury sailing catamaran Argo Navis.

Dr. Convertito will lead an illuminating morning seafaring excursion departing from the dock at 0 Margaret Street.

Passengers will enjoy Bloody Marys, mimosas, or non-alcoholic beverages along with light breakfast fare as this exploration of the diversity of work along Key West’s waterfront will reveal the complex interconnections of waterfront work. Diverse forms of work ranged from shipbuilding, wrecking, sponging, turtling, shrimping, and fishing. It also looks at how the waterfront has changed over time, the reasons for these changes, and implications for the future.
