Florida Horseshoe Crab Webinar

Join live via Zoom or YouTube live as Dr. Savanna Barry discusses the importance of horseshoe crabs. Dr. Barry will also talk about how the Florida Horseshoe Crab Watch citizen science program is helping to improve understanding of regional crab populations.

After earning her B.S. in Biology from the University of Virginia, Dr. Barry split her time between Gainesville, Florida and Little Cayman Island to earn her M.S. in Fisheries & Aquatic Sciences through the University of Florida. After completing her M.S., Savanna moved back to Gainesville full-time to continue into a Ph.D. program at the University of Florida. She currently serves as the Regional Specialized Extension Agent at the UF IFAS Nature Coast Biological Station in Cedar Key, Florida.
