Coralpalooza 2024

To celebrate World Oceans Day every year, Coral Restoration Foundation™ mobilizes hundreds of ocean lovers in Florida and around the world to take action to restore our planet’s disappearing coral reefs.

This is Coralpalooza™ — a growing international movement for the future of life our oceans! This year the foundation is making waves with large scale action taking place over three days in Florida, and reef-saving activities happening around the world as part of the 2024 Coralpalooza™ Community.

Boats will be headed out of the Upper Keys, June 6, &, and 8, and from the Lower Keys, June 7 and 8. Registrants will be assigned to dive operators based on the location and day that they selected. The intention of the day is to maintain our coral nurseries up and down the Florida Keys via a number of tasks, like underwater reef restoration (outplanting), maintenance/propagation, coral/reef monitoring, and/or on-land maintenance/propagation and education.

In 2023, the Coralpalooza™ Community resulted in more than 15,200 new corals returned to wild habitats in a single day, thanks to over 20 organizations from 13 countries, mobilizing more than 960 staff and volunteers. These efforts were recognized as part of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
