Cooterpocalypse Zombie Weekend

Cootertober does surviving the Zombie apocalypse a little differently!

Run, Crawl, and Scavenge yourself to Cooterpocalypse, a full Zombie weekend of frights and fun featuring four creeptacular events: Zombie Prom, Zombie Run, Zombie Pub Crawl, and Zombie Scavenger Hunt!

•  Zombie Prom  Fri., October 20, evening  A traditional prom evening of dancing, socializing, and zombifying at Inverness’ fabulous Depot at Liberty Park. Featuring DJ Trae, a zombie-makeup station, a zombie selfie spot, food trucks, crowning of the Prom King & Queen, and more. So fun, it’ll wake the dead.

•  Zombie Run  Sat., October 21, morning  Be a Zombie or a Survivor (aka a runner), you pick. Zombies chase Survivors to grab flags from the survivor’s belts. No tackling and other common courtesy safety rules. Medals for all, and trophies for Best Survivor and Best Zombie.

•  Zombie Pub Crawl  Sat., October 21, evening  Shuffle your way through downtown Inverness, sampling drinks from favorite local bars! Drinks included. 21+.

•  Zombie Scavenger Hunt  Sun., October 22, noon  Sunny Cooter’s big comeback is thwarted when the Zombies snatch him! Parents and kids: Help rescue Sunny Cooter in this outdoor digital scavenger hunt and mini dance party featuring DJ Trae.

Twistid Arts Initiative is injecting new life into the traditional Cooter Fest, and the City of Inverness is proud to present this unforgettable month-long celebration. Think: small-town charm meets vibrant arts and culture!

Cooterpocalypse is part of Cootertober, the Cooter Festival’s new, month-long downtown to celebrate the season with several themed weekends and events.
