The Grand Kids Festival

It’s time for some free, family fun! The Grand is all about access to the fine arts for all children via opera house’s educational outreach and children’s programming. The Grand Kids Festival booths are “hands-on,” such as making musical instruments, visual art, folk dances, or puppetry. The stage comes alive with vocal, instrumental, and dance groups. Food and beverage booths, located in a Food Fair area, will be geared toward “fun” but good food for families.

In addition to three outdoor stages, there will be inflatables, a petting zoo, pony rides, and 40+ activity booths spanning over three blocks along Post Office Street in downtown Galveston, plus a week-long residency of The Missoula Children’s Theatre. It’s no wonder that over 8,500 people attend this fun-filled festival each year.
