Shorty Gras & Krewe of Freret Parade
The ball costs bucks but the parade is free to see! The Krewe of Freret and Trombone Shorty will revive their tradition and parade through Uptown, the Garden District, the CBD, with a brief stop at Gallier Hall to say Hi to the Mayor, then to Canal on magical floats with the best marching bands and performers in town. The procession culminates at Mardi Gras World, in the wonderous ‘Shorty Gras’ – a Mardi Gras Ball and music festival combined into one spectacular event.
