Shake Your Trail Feather Paddle Parade on Bayou Teche

Celebrate the beautiful Bayou Teche National Paddle Trail at this fundraiser for The TECHE Project, co-sponsored by the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area. Proceeds go toward building the Bayou Teche National Paddle Trail, to provide access docks and other amenities for paddlers in the 15 towns along Bayou Teche.

Two bands on decorated barges will accompany the paddlers down the bayou to set the mood! Starting at noon, there will be lunch trucks, libations, merch sales, kids activities, and live music by Horace Trahan and the Ossun Express. There are also merch and kayak raffles. Make sure to dress like a bird to win more prizes!

This wacky Paddle Parade starts at Poche’s Country Club with two paddling options that finish in in Breaux Bridge: 4.5 mi./2 hr. and 6.5 mi./2.45 hr. Registration does not include kayak rental, lunch, or shuttle.
