Rockport Songwriter Festival

The hometown of legendary Gulf Coast songster Guy Clark is hosting the first annual Rockport Songwriter Festival! The intimate two-day festival will be held at the Charlotte Plummer’s Complex in Fulton, Texas and will feature four live shows (two per day) along with multiple screenings of the Guy Clark documentary Without Getting Killed or Caught in the Inn at Fulton Harbor across the street.
Featured performers include Terri Hendrix/Lloyd Maines and Butch Hancock, Noel McKay and Susan Gibson, Bob Livingston and Shake Russell, and Shawn Camp and Verlon Thompson. More performances on the small stage inside Charlotte’s to be announced.
Weekend ticket packages include a VIP ticket with upfront seating, after show meet-and-greets upstairs at Charlotte’s and a private Sunday morning breakfast screening of the documentary. Standard weekend passes, individual day and show passes, and discounted room rates for ticket holders at The Inn at Fulton Harbor across the street will be offered (check the link).
The week prior to the festival, Noel McKay (McKay Brothers, McKay & Leigh) will host a live-in, immersive songwriter camp at Coastal Bend Music studios in Rockport. Campers will spend the week onsite at the studio learning and writing with Noel, with songs recorded at the end of the week and presented at a showcase during the festival.
