Red Hot Crawfish Boil – Fire Museum of Texas
As public safety fire departments come to our aid, so we should come to theirs… and enjoy a li’l crawfish while we’re at it!
First opened in 1984 and housed in the historic 1927 Central Fire Station for the Beaumont Fire Department, the Fire Museum of Texas exhibits an extensive collection related to the history of fire departments in the state of Texas. Apparatus, equipment, uniforms and photographs dating back to the mid-1800s trace the evolution of how we fight fires from horse-drawn vehicles to today’s modern engine.
The Fire Museum of Texas has been endorsed by the State Firemen’s & Fire Marshals’ Association of Texas since 1986 as the official fire museum for the State of Texas.
