NYE Oyster Drop & Fireworks in Bay St. Louis

Come ring in 2023 at the Oyster Drop. It’s free and will feature live music by the Dave Mayley Band, Andree & the Giants, and Dian Diaz.

A few years ago, celebrating New Year’s Eve on Beach Boulevard in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi wasn’t a thing.

Then Jim MacPhaille, owner of 200 North Beach restaurant, had a silly idea. Instead of a ball, he’d create and drop a giant, 12-foot oyster down a 30-foot pole on top of his restaurant. Maybe some people would come, but he figured he and his family would be the only ones watching it. He didn’t know how wrong he’d be!

This New Year’s Eve, the third annual Oyster Drop at 200 North Beach restaurant will become one of the largest outdoor events in Bay St. Louis!
