Lake Charles Mardi Gras Royal Gala

Lake Charles is the only place in the state (…maybe in the U.S.? …the world?) where the public is invited to see all the ornate costumes of all the royal courts from all local krewes promenade all in one place. Yes, this is one big night featuring the lavish promenade of Krewes’ royalty in extravagant, glittering costumes before thousands of residents and visitors.

Kings and queens, royal dukes and duchesses, captains, courtesans, and jesters in museum-quality costumes will be on full display, complete with music and dancing for everyone!

It happened back in January at the Twelfth Night carnival kick-off, and it happens again at the Royal Gala Lundi Gras, one royal night before Mardi Gras Day.
