Juneteenth Empowerment Day Festival

Capital City Cultural Community Outreach hosts Juneteenth: Empowerment Day celebration, and the whole family is invited.

Empowerment Day looks to commemorate the abolition of slavery in the American South while also paying homage to Florida’s Emancipation Day of May 20. Floridians celebrate May Day (May 20) in honor of the state’s proclamation, but Juneteenth is a chance to unify all descendants of slaves and the African diaspora. Empowerment Day is a highlight for black entrepreneurship and community building alike.

The event will host 10 food and 100 retail vendors. There will also be a scholarship presentation at the end of the event.
