Haunting Tales & Dia de los Muertos Altars

The Freeport Historical Museum is at it again, with exciting exhibits for the fall!

Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, is a traditional holiday honoring ancestors and the cycle of life. In Mexico, families gather in local cemeteries to share food, music, and memories to celebrate their continuing relationship with their ancestors and loved ones that have passed. To educate the community on the history and culture of this holiday, seven organizations have come together to form the Día de los Muertos Committee. Altars are on display though November 11.

The Freeport Historical Museum Haunting Tales of the Texas Coast Exhibit returns for its third year from October 1 to Halloween! Learn about local ghost stories that have haunted the Texas Coast and Brazoria County.

Admission is free during the month of October!
