Global Port Cities

Come hear port perspectives at this full-day event.
This project is grounded on the premise that there is a relationship between port cities and creativity that has been under-explored, and that there is a special potential for such cities to mobilize their creative energies for positive change.
Its main goal is to establish and mobilize a multinational network of actors across sectors—universities, arts organizations, urban planners, and community organizers—to share ideas, learn from one another, and discover meaningful solutions to common challenges.
The Global Port Cities project is an initiative led by Dean Brian Edwards (School of Liberal Arts, Tulane University) alongside his longtime collaborator, Moroccan playwright, novelist, and journalist Driss Ksikes (Director of Economia, HEM Research Center, Morocco).
