Frida Fest 2023

Celebrate the City of Edinburg’s 2023 FridaFest, a festival that honors renowned Mexican Artist, Frida Kahlo along with the spirit of perseverance and empowerment.

FridaFest is a free festival open to the public that includes live music, artists, look-a-like contests, food vendors, plenty of children’s activities, and lots of great Frida-inspired art. FridaFest also hosts two stages featuring musical, dance, and art performances. Enjoy live art demonstrations, Frida’s zoo and animal exhibit, and a cooling station for the summer heat. The local art exhibit will be available for viewing at the Edinburg City Hall Courtyard. All artwork will be available for sale.

The festival also includes a Frida Gathering which will take place on the main stage in the courtyard along McIntyre Promenade. The city of Edinburg’s Frida-inspired festival is the largest gathering of people dressed as Frida Kahlo in the Rio Grande Valley.
