Floating Cleanup
SALT needs YOU! And about 20-30 volunteers to help do some good.
Join the South Alabama Land Trust on the water for this year’s cleanup which will take place at Meaher State Park on the Causeway. There will be no entrance fee to enter the park this day, thanks to SALT partners at the park. Other partners include Fairhope Brewing, JubileeScape, and Osprey Initiative. Volunteers from the local U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will provide a water safety briefing.
Stick around after the cleanup to enjoy some community, a cookout, and beverages!
This is a bring-your-own canoe or kayak event. SALT and Osprey Initiative will have limited canoe rentals available for those without a vessel. When filling out the SignUp form, please indicate if you will need a rental in the comments and they will try to accommodate you on a first come first serve basis.
