Evening at the Edge of the Sea – FSU Coastal & Marine Lab
Field experience is one way in which humans may connect with the natural world. By observing the intricate relationships creatures have with one another and with the habitats that are their homes, we increase our understanding, appreciation, and support of nature. Unleash creativity by connecting with nature through field exploration, writing, or art. It’s good for health and well-being, and it is a two-way street, fostering care and concern about the environment.
FSU Coastal & Marine Lab helps facilitate this connection by offering opportunities for the general public to explore nature via the Evening at the Edge of the Sea workshop.
Each workshop at the FSU Lab east of Carrabelle in St. Teresa, Florida includes a walk along the tidal flats with marine lab staff to learn about the fascinating marine creatures that inhabit the pristine shores and shallows.
Class size is limited. Minimum age: 7 years old. All 7-13 year olds must be accompanied by a paying adult.
