Estuaries Day 2022 in Eastpoint, FL
Happy Estuaries Day! The first 600 visitors will receive a free T-shirt. Activities include free, fun, and educational stations for kids and adults including marine animal touch tanks, and estuary-themed games such as Living Shoreline Exploration, Salt Marsh Bingo, Prescribed Fire Activities, and a Turtle Hurdle Boardgame.
Attendeesmay also tour ANERR’s 5,400 square-foot Nature Center with its three large aquariums filled with local estuarine and marine life, an 80-foot-long mural depicting the area ecosystems, and a hands-on Bay Discovery Room. The Sea Turtles of the Forgotten Coast exhibit, also on display in the Nature Center, shows videos of nesting sea turtles and hatchlings and demonstrates what responsible beach residents can do to help sea turtles.
Free snacks are available, and Mellow Mullet will be on-site selling shaved ice. This is event is family-friendly, but children must remain supervised.
