Baytown Special Rodeo
Each year, hundreds of great, hardworking volunteers, parents, sponsors from the Baytown community come together to throw a very special Baytown Special Rodeo for area special-needs kids. Since 2001, they’ve presented this day of Western fun and education to mentally and physically challenged children and their families.
The group puts on pony rides, wagon rides, stick horse barrel racing, roping, and other fun activities for a great group of kids each year. They even offer (via pre-registration) each child the opportunity to have a “Rodeo Buddy,” a volunteer who helps the family with games, activities, entertainment, horses, lunch, etc., with parent/guardian supervision – making rodeo part of the family, if you will.
The Baytown volunteers say all the hard work is more than worth it the minute they see the first smile on the first child’s face. Spread the word, and support this great cause and sweet and engaging event!
