Bayou “Ball N” Basketball Tournament – Lake Charles
It’s the annual Bayou Ball ‘N’ National Basketball Tournament sponsored by RAP Events to be held at a variety of locations throughout Lake Charles, Louisiana. The tournament will consist of youth ranging from 3rd to 12th grade and is open to both boys and girls, with each team having a three-game guarantee. Saturday will start with pool play, and the standings will determine placement for Sunday’s bracket. 1st and 2nd Place awards will be given out.
The tournament will be held at Lake Charles Ward 3 Recreation Center (Power Center), LaGrange High School, Lake Charles Charter Academy, Lake Charles College Prep, and Oak Park Middle School.
“Teams from Mississippi, Colorado, Dallas, Houston, and Louisiana are all expected to participate in this year’s championships,” said Ronnie Perkins, CEO of the RAP Athletic Program.
Bayou Ball ‘N’ National Basketball Tournament is presented in memory of Bolter Perkins, son of Ronnie Perkins with RAP Events. After being diagnosed with cancer, Bolter lost his memory, but basketball was the only thing he remembered. This tournament gives the opportunity to participate in a quality tournament and learn about basketball and life skills.
