Welcome to MOD Weekend 2022!
In conjunction with their new exhibition, MOD Weekend 2022 is devoted to the subject of tropical modernism, in which climate elements such as light, heat, and humidity inform key decisions in building design. The Sarasota School of Architecture practitioners, led by visionary Phillip Hiss, embodied this critical regional modern ethos known as “tropical modernism.” MOD Weekend will explore examples from Sarasota and from around the globe through a variety of tours, talks, and events.
