Africatown Bridge Challenge 5K & Fun Run

Check out this 5K run/walk over the Cochrane-Africatown Bridge above the Mobile River. The Africatown Bridge Challenge includes a 5K, a fun run, and a post-race celebration.

View Historic Africatown, the Mobile River, Port of Mobile, Mobile-Tensaw River Delta, and the City of Mobile from 350 feet high as you run or walk your way across the 7,291-foot-long bridge on the certified 5k course. There will be a 1-mile course that takes participants from Shelby Street to the foot of the bridge and back. Afterward, there will be awards, music, and food at a celebration at the old Farmers Market.

The rain-or-shine event will raise funds for the Africatown Community Development Corporation operating expenses, community programs, and the maintenance of the Old Plateau Cemetery.
