The Village of Tickfaw, in Tangipahoa Parish, just north of Hammond, Louisiana has a population made up significantly of Italian-American descendants. The Italian Festival features a carnival, a ball, a vendor fair, live music, spaghetti cook-off, and Tickfaw royalty, including the annual Spaghetti Queen!
