The Great Texas Mosquito Festival
That buzz you hear in July is coming from Clute, Texas the home of the Great Texas Mosquito Festival, where Willie-Man-Chew greets visitors from near and far to enjoy three fun filled days of entertainment, food, contests, and family fun.
Live music for the 2022 festival boasts, Tilluride, Elida Reyna, the Spazmatics, Duelo, Gabe Garcia, Creed Fisher, and Dos Borrachos. There’s a carnival, games, cornhole, horseshoes, washer pitching, plus the “Mosquito Chase” 5K Run and 600 meter kids run on Saturday. Check out the BBQ Cook-off and Grill Master Competition. The real competition, however, happens at the Mosquito Calling and Mosquito Legs Contests.
