Queer As Faust Festival 2023

Mickee Faust is the local community theater for the weird and queer community of the Florida state capital, shining like a rainbow beacon across the three-state region. Throughout June, they present Queer As Faust Sweet 16 Festival – a pride month to remember, with events the entire month.

Kick off Pride season right with Mickee Faust’s First Friday at Railroad Square. The Pride party continues with a day of burlesque: Faust welcomes Gainesville artist Sally B Dash for an Intro to Burlesque Workshop, followed by a Queer Burlesque Show in the evening, featuring drag performers from across the state. June 9 and 10,  Christy Rodriguez de Conte’s one-woman show Butch, Pregnant & Pissed (on Myself) takes the stage. Then bring out your favorite decade style, and celebrate 16 years of the weirdest, wildest original queer theater around at the Queer As Faust Sweet 16 Decades Dance. The Sweet 16 Festival culminates in Mickee Faust’s 16th annual Queer As Faust cabaret, featuring outrageous performances of queer-themed comic skits, featuring raunchy new favorites and clever old parodies.
