Poarch Creek Indians Thanksgiving Pow Wow

You’re invited to the 50th Annual Thanksgiving Pow Wow at the Poarch Creek Indian Reservation in Atmore, Alabama, held every year on Thanksgiving Day and the day after. Affordable admission and food items are cash-only. Credit not accepted. Bring chairs and blankets, since the bleachers may fill up!

Established in 1971, this annual Thanksgiving event draws approximately 16,000 people each year. Come celebrate this milestone as 20 tribal nations represent in exciting dance competitions.

Food from vendors may include Indian Tacos, BBQ sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, roasted corn, turkey dinners, ribeye steak sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, pork skins, and Kona Ice.
