Michael Bolton at the Beau Rivage

You may not know that Michael Bolton originally performed in hard rock and heavy metal bands from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, both on his early solo albums and on those he recorded as the frontman of the band Blackjack. He is, of course, best known for his soft rock, smooth groove ballads, spawning such hits as “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You,” in the late 1980s, with a distinctive tenor/countertenor vocal style that shattered many hearts.
