Letter From Birmingham Jail – FAMU Theatre
As the fight for social equality escalates protest and tension, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail” is as relevant today as it was nearly 60 years ago. Written from his prison cell in 1963 to challenge social inequities of racial segregation, King explains the cause and effect of civil rights protests. “Letter from Birmingham Jail” breathes life through a compilation of multimedia and onstage voices.
