‘How to Protect Family Treasures from a Hurricane’ Workshop

Join the Collier County Museums for a workshop on how to salvage water-damaged family valuables and heirlooms, using conservation-minded techniques!

The impact hurricanes like Irma and Ian have had are immeasurable, with the livelihood and infrastructure damage taking center stage in the aftermath. There is another kind of loss that occurs after a hurricane though, and that is the loss of beloved family treasures.

Take-home kits will be available to add to hurricane supplies, while supplies last. Join at one of three museums for this free program. Please note, these programs will be in English, however informational sheets from the FEMA Save Your Family Treasures program are available in Spanish and Haitian Creole upon request. RSVP is encouraged.
