Good Friday Stations of the Cross on Main St

This Good Friday, 23 Sarasota congregations will participate in an early morning Stations of the Cross pilgrimage down Main Street. An estimated 1,000 pilgrims will gather for the event, which includes stops at 14 Stations with readings, prayers, and songs.

Pilgrims gather at the Regal Hollywood movie theater on Main Street. This will be the 22nd year the Sarasota Ministerial Association joins Church of the Redeemer in planning the event. The pilgrimage is three-quarters of a mile long.

Complimentary Siesta Trolley service will transport pilgrims from Redeemer to Regal Hollywood starting at 6am. The pilgrimage will conclude at about 8:30am, when everyone will be invited to attend Morning Prayer at Redeemer.
