Check it out: Stand-up comedian and actor George Lopez will perform at the Julie Rogers Theatre! George Lopez currently stars in a multi-camera comedy series Lopez vs Lopez on NBC, featuring his real-life daughter Mayan Lopez. An icon and advocate for Latino representation, Lopez was also the focus of the award-winning documentary Brown is the New Green: George Lopez & the American Dream.
Lopez is a New York Times bestseller author of the autobiography Why You Crying?, which was followed by a second memoir I’m Not Gonna Lie & Other Lies You Tell When You Turn 50. This year, Lopez co-wrote a children’s book Chupacarter bringing LatinX folklore, mystery, friendship, and belly laughs setting the stage for an upcoming series following characters Jorge Lopez and Carter the Chupacabra. Lopez has produced and starred in the series Lopez, co-created and starred in the series Saint George, hosted TBS’ inaugural late night talk show, Lopez Tonight, and co-created, wrote, produced and starred in the hit sitcom George Lopez.
