Big Gay Weekend in Sarasota

What started as a single beach party has morphed into the all new, multi-day event known as Big Gay Weekend! BGW was designed to highlight the best of Sarasota’s LGBTQ+ community by offering a cornucopia of fabulous events, including a Pride Booze Cruise –aka the Nightclub at Sea, a Pride Pool Party with an LGBTQ+ Expo (plus the unaffiliated Project Pride’s Car Parade, which the Big Gay Weekend site also endorses – and there is certainly time enough to do both), a toga party, and the infamous Big Gay Beach Party located on Sarasota’s historic North Lido gay beach.

Insiders say the place to stay and make the most of Big Gay Weekend is at the newly remodeled retro Golden Host Resort – which happens to be where the pool party goes down.
